Frequently asked questions

The basics for finding your way around Prod’s Lounge.

What is a project, a release and a song?

A project is your team’s workspace (an artist, a band, a record). Inside you build releases (single, EP, album…) and, inside each release, the songs.

How do I invite my team?

From the project’s Team tab: search for the person by name or email (they get an invitation they have to accept) or copy an invite link and send it yourself.

What are deliveries?

Each song has deliveries (mix, master, stems…). Every file you upload is a version: the current and the previous one are kept, and your team can listen, comment at the exact second and approve it.

When is something “ready for delivery”?

When every song in a release has the approvals the project requires. You see it in Projects, and from the release you can mark it as delivered.

Who can see and change what?

Each member has a role (admin, artist, producer, engineer…) and the role defines what they see and can do. Whoever manages members can change roles from the Team tab.

What files can I upload?

Any file. Audio files play in the app and, when uploaded, BPM, key and duration are detected automatically.

What are AGADU, SUDEI and the CUD?

They are Uruguayan copyright and phonogram organizations. Prod’s Lounge prepares the forms, sheets and ISRC codes for those procedures. For now those features are designed for Uruguay only.

Are my files private?

Only your project can see them. Download links are temporary, and a release is only shared by public link if you turn that on.

How can I support the project?

Prod’s Lounge is free and runs on Ko-fi donations. You’ll find the “Support” link in the page footer.
